These are the images from my 'F'
panel which was originally displayed in two rows of ten. Since childhood
I have been fascinated by the sculptures created on sandy beaches by
wind, tide and unseen creatures, I could see mysterious creatures within
these patterns. I used photography to try and capture the fleeting images
. In order to overcome the reality aspect of the photography I have
added gentle colour of a personal choice, in others I used the composition
to convey the surreal aspect. The knowledge that the next tide will
obliterate all traces of its previous art and substitute new works is
a challenge that photography accepts well. The unpredictability of this
subject is a continual source of inspiration and fascination.
The images were taken on T Max
film and printed onAgfa Multicontrast Classic. The toning was achieved
by using Fotospeed dyes, Spotone pens and ink.
