In my steam railway
photography I have tried to capture on film the dramatic scenery and
the many impresssive viaducts and railway furniture, as well as, the
steam locomotive. I limit myself to one or two composed shots on the
day, rather than several quick snapshots.
I travelled thousands of miles in the 5 year
period during which the photographs were taken.
Most of them were taken on the scenic Settle
and Carlisle line. The remainder were taken on the Keighly & Worth
Valley Railway, for which I have a line-side photographic permit.
My Fellowship panel of 20 prints was displayed
in two rows. The first 9 images shown on this web page were displayed
in the top row of my FRPS panel with the only vertical {portrait format}
shot in the middle.
The remaining 11 images on the web page formed
the bottom row of the FRPS Panel with the night shot in the centre.
The FRPS Panel pictures were arranged so that the trains were travelling
towards the centre of the display.
All the photographs were taken on Fuji Reala colour negative film using
a Bronica ETRS-i camera. I have printed all the negatives onto Agfa
16"X12" Lustre paper and window mounted them on brown card.
